What are your fees?

If you proceed through our online ordering system you will see full details of our fees, section by section, with no obligation to actually place an order.

Why are your prices lower than your competition? Are they better?!

We are the market leaders, so the sheer volume we deal with keeps our prices among the very lowest. This in no way compromises the quality of our work.

What level of CV do I come under?

Our fees for CVs are principally based on your level of experience. You just need to click on the appropriate CV category according to how long you have worked for, in total, over your lifetime (regardless of whether or not it is in the same line of work in which you are currently looking to gain a position and regardless of which country your experience has been in).

The only exceptions to this are individuals in medical professions (doctors, nurses, surgeons, dentists, etc.), company directors (both private and public) and those who require a CV for emigration purposes.  Anyone falling into these categories should select the 'Advanced CV' regardless of their level of experience.

So, add up the total number of years employment and:

  • If it is less than 6 months you should pick the Starter category
  • If it is less than 10 years you should pick the Intermediate category
  • If it is less than 20 years you should pick the Senior category
  • If it is over 20 years - or if you are in a medical profession (doctors, nurses, etc.) or a company director - then you should pick the Advanced category

Can I attach/upload my current CV?

Yes, certainly.  If you complete the order form process and make your payment you will then be taken on to a further screen which will enable you to upload a copy of your existing CV.  If you do have an existing CV then this will help you to avoid having to complete most of the Details Form which you will subsequently be shown.

Do you also do cover letters?

We offer two principal types of cover letter as well as a '5-Letter Pack' which contains both principal types as well as three other very useful job-hunting letters. We generally find that the majority of our clients choose one of these options, although ordering cover letters with your CV is of course entirely optional.

Cover letters can be ordered in the second stage of our online ordering system, immediately after choosing your CV type.

How can I just order one of your books without ordering a CV?

Please click here to proceed to our dedicated ordering facility for our books.

What happens after I send my order in?

Once we receive your order, it will be allocated to a consultant, according to which profession you're in and the level you've reached. Once they've prepared a draft version, your consultant will email or phone you if necessary to clarify any minor points or to build up on any weaker areas. Just to get it absolutely right before we send the draft version out for your approval.

How quickly will you process my order?

Once received, we aim to turn round an order within an average of 24 hours, including, if necessary, an email or quick phone call from your consultant, just to make sure we've got your requirements absolutely right. Or, if you're in a particular hurry, you could opt for one of our express services, with turnaround times as low as 6 hours.

How will my order be delivered?

Delivery by email (of both drafts and completed orders) is free of charge and all part of the service at The CV Centre.

Email delivery covers the release of your CV (and any other documents you have ordered) in fully editable Microsoft Word format - so that you can print, update, modify, etc. as you require.

Many of our competitors charge for this service as a 'hidden extra' but we endeavour to make our fees as clear and simple as possible and to have no hidden costs.

Items which can't be sent by email, e.g. USB Memory Sticks, are sent by post. Postage & packing is also free for all orders. We always use 1st class post - and orders are carefully packaged in hard-backed A4 envelopes to ensure they arrive undamaged.

Why do you take payment in advance?

Principally, once we get a client on board, they tend to become a client for life, coming back to us regularly for updates, further help, etc. And we feel that having to chase clients for payment jeopardises that relationship. Also, this policy eliminates bad debts and keeps our costs and hence our fees at a minimum. We believe this to be for the overall benefit of our clients.

I have a problem not covered above. What do I do?

Please contact us and let us know. We'll do our very best to help you.
